Best known for giving a new term to independent artist, Ziggy Alberts has released 5 records, started his own label and toured across the world.

Ziggy rose to 115 million worldwide streams from busking and now has an average 1million listenings a month on Spotify.

Compared to the likes of Ben Howard and Jack Johnson, Ziggy’s soulful, coastal-folk sound creates honest and personal music.

His latest album ‘Laps Around The Sun’ released in 2018, peaked at #2 in the ARIA Australian Artist Album Chart. The album has been noted as being ‘cosy’ just like his Australian, coastal charm but was actually recorded across the globe in locations as such as Ireland, Denmark and Norway.

Ziggy’s passions involve surfing and environmentalism and it translates into the lyrics of the album including the title track, drawing upon his experiences of travelling and his relationship with the environment.

For a personal relationship, Ziggy created a metaphor for a female figure ‘Koda’ who manifests in songs like Love Me Now.

His tour began in Australia and New Zealand, officially selling out before it even began.
