Form Lifestyle
An independent design and craft sanctuary tucked away in the back streets of the NQ. The store has a selection of unique hand-made products sourced from small and independent designers carefully chosen by owners Elly and Harry. All products are chosen with a focus on design, function and simplicity, emphasising slow-living and thoughtful buying.

Frida Cooper Ceramics
Frida Cooper makes minimalistic and functional pieces by hand in a small shared studio sold mainly through her online shop. Each item is unique making the perfect one of a kind gifts. Her collection spans from homeware and tableware such as mugs and plates to jewellery designed with ‘Frida’s Girls’. There is also a selection of A5 cards with portraits of her friends!

July Child Jewellery
A Manchester-based collection of jewellery designers, founded by Sinead Flood. Named after her birth month, July Child represents cult brands, individual and original design. Sinead works with talented female designers and creatives to give small entrepreneurs a place to showcase their work. Deadstock General Store
A carefully curated range of stock focusing on gifts and vintage-style homeware. It has a clash of modern aesthetics with old cupboards and shelves and creaky floorboards. Located on Edge Street near some of Manchester best-loved bars and restaurants the shop perfectly fits in Manchester’s unique Northern Quarter. There are plenty of gentlemanly goods such as razors, organic toiletries and accessories. It’s also the perfect place for gifts, changing seasonally such as books, leather goods, candles and soaps.

A mother-daughter duo creating a homeware store bursting with an independent spirit. The minimalistic aesthetic offers products that are understated, beautiful and timeless, think lots of concrete, blacks and greys and cool pendant lamp shades.  There’s a carefully selected roster of brands, designers and makers all in keeping with the minimalistic theme. Find their physical store in Bolton and their pop-up in Altrincham market.

Plant Shop
A store dedicated to house plants, gifts and workshops. They have plenty of events combining crafts and music with the store. The store began with just 100 mini cacti outside of an office, now has a physical store in Stockport. They also have plenty of gifts from candles and bags to prints and are a stockist of Fill Refill Co an eco-friendly cleaning and laundry product company. Their first late night evening is coming up with drinks, disco tunes and dancing around the shop. Check out their socials for tickets and info on upcoming events.

Elyse Blackshaw is a Manchester-based illustrator with a first class degree in Embroidery from the Manchester School of Art. Her work has been documented by London Fashion Week, ELLE Brazil and the Fashion Revolution. Her work is identifiable through her signature squiggles and has gained recognition from the likes of Marc Jacobs and Mary Katrantzou. Some of her designs are also now available on T-Shirts!

Nell has an MA in Textiles from Manchester School of Art and is an affiliate maker in Manchester Craft and Design Centre based in the centre of the NQ. Nell is an award-winning artist and designer and her products range from necklaces to bags to prints.
