The Taste of Tattu Menu delivers all the quality and creativity of their famed à la carte menu – with a selection of their best-selling small plates combined with innovative new dishes from the wok.

One thing we can certainly vouch for is the quality of every dish that comes from the Tattu kitchen, day or night.

Located in Spinningfields, Tattu is famed for their stunning interior and this week we thought we’d make the most of a short but glorious burst of March sunshine by sitting in their Rose Garden area, which is flooded with natural light.

For only £24 each for two-courses, or £28 for three, we were spoilt for choice.

The presentation was picture-perfect and the flavours did not disappoint.

To be honest with you, it was the best £28 I’ve spent in a LONG time – I’m already planning my next visit (is tomorrow too soon?)

To start, we enjoyed the Chilli Salt Baby Squid (which came with spring onion and a perfectly spiced sweet chilli sauce) and chunks of Sticky Beef Short Rib.

The Sticky Beef Short Rib arrived with no bones, but instead as cubes of perfectly-tender beef coated in a delicious sticky soy sauce. Topped with chilli and crispy shallots, this was easily one of my favourite offerings on the full menu.

We also indulged on the Crispy Duck Rolls (served with a sweet cherry hoisin sauce) and the Salmon Sashizza (with Yuzu kosho aioli, truffle tapenade and pickled cucumber).

There are only 5 considered mains on the menu, each highlighting the diversity within Tattu’s menu.

If you enjoy the classics, there’s the fruity and sweet Sweet and Sour Iberico (with dragon fruit, banana and chunks of pineapple) and the famed delicious Chinese Barbeque Chicken which honestly stole the show.

Served with chilli sweet soy and pickled cucumber, the meat was cooked to perfection and coated in a rich and sticky sauce.

Trying something new, we tried the Pan Fried Szechuan Sea Bass with chilli bean and spring onion. Deliciously fresh, this dish was the perfect accompaniment to the steamed jasmine rice.

And if you like your food to blow your head off, you’ll want to try the Crispy Shredded Chilli Beef.

Now don’t get me wrong, this was absolutely lovely but my GOD it was spicy. It’s served with tomato and garlic and is packed to the brim with flavour, the perfect dish to enjoy with the beansprout noodles.

Choose from a selection of 3 desserts, including the famed show-stopping Cherry Blossom Dessert (chocolate mousse, cherry and candyfloss goodness) – absolutely lovely.

Perfect for those looking for a quick lunch stop, a pre-theatre bite or an indulgent weekend treat – get yourself down to Tattu and the Taste of Tattu Menu.
