The restaurant now has 21 leading restaurants across the UK ran by the Italian family. The newest Champagne Bar is elegantly designed and a celebration of Italian craft.
There’s an iconic sculptural 20 foot wide ‘Cloud’ chandelier inspired by the bubbles from Champagne taking centre stage. The chandelier is comprised of 1000 individual cast glass discs, each made by hand in the Veneto region of Italy to glitter against the marble bar below.
The all day venue is serving an expertly curated champagne and prosecco menu with more than ten choices all served in crystal glassware. It’s not just fizz on the menu, a large wine and cocktail list and the bar is set to be a new haven for gin lovers, with 18 of the best gins from Manchester and beyond.
The food menu also boasts nibbles and sharing plates to sandwiches, salads and San Carlo’s signature homemade speciality cakes and ice cream. As you’d expect for a Champagne Bar the menu includes Colchester Rock Oysters starting at 3 for £7 up to 9 for £19 and Caviar served with crème Fraiche and blinis.
Sharing plates for 2 including the Italian antipasti serves up a platter of hams and salami with marinated Italian vegetables served wtih a salt and rosemary focaccia (£15.95).
The new Champagne Bar opens late July and will be open 10am – 10pm Monday – Friday, 10 – 9pm Saturday and 11.30am – 6pm Sunday.
