The British Restaurant tucked away just off Cutting Room Square in Ancoats has launched a 2 week offer in March for 30% OFF lunch and dinner.

We went down to sample what’s on the menu and have handpicked some absolute must-orders…
First up, and I think it goes without saying, if Pork Belly is on the menu – you order it. Elnecot’s take on the classic dish is served with sprout kimchi, apple and crunchy hazelnuts. Expect the crunchiest skin ever and irresistibly tender meat.
Next is the Pig Head Croquettes which have got a bit of a name for themselves, particularly in the Finest office for being absolutely bloody delicious. Served with pear, apple marigold and piccalilli, providing a punchy tang to the dish.
Possibly our favourite dish from the day is the Savoy Cabbage Cakes from the Lunch Menu is served with a good dollop of citrus mayo and drizzled in a soy dressing. Packed full of flavour this dish is simultaneously earthy and fresh and has left us thinking about it since.
If you’ve ever read anything I’ve ever written you’ll know how my tiny pea brain is always surprised by cauliflower. It was up there with one of my least favourite vegetables (after peas, of course, we don’t need to talk about those arrogant little green globes), but now – particularly with its adaptability it’s one of my favourites.
Chargrill that baby and my mouth is drooling. Nothing complicated here folks, just really good, simple ingredients being made into delicious sides that are worthy of talking about as much as the main dishes, Good cauli, that’s cauli.
