The Giant Monsters are back! Halloween in the City 2019

Halloween in the City is back this year with the biggest monster invasion yet, a poisonous maze and a creepy carnival.

Prepare for some ghoulish goings and spooky spectaculars at this year’s Halloween in the City.

There’s a giant rooftop monster invasion, Trick or Treat trail, skeleton parade and Room on the Broom. Plus a creepy carnival and poisonous maze and plenty more from the CBeebies and CBBC favourites.

The Giant Monsters on the rooftops will be crawling over the city centre from the Arndale to The Printworks and Mayfield Depot from Friday 25th October to Thursday 31st October. 

There’s plenty of other events happening over the period too:

Trick or Treat Trail
Saturday 26th – Sunday 27th October, 10am – 6pm
There’s Trick or Treat houses dotted around the city full of surprises and each with their very own monster. All you have to do is get the map and find them all to reveal a special treat at the end.

 

The Poisonous Maze
Saturday 26th – Sunday 27th October, 10am – 6pm 
The hedge maze has been overtaken by the doctor’s crazy experiments. Expect, talking plants, enchanted statues, creepy creatures and deadly walking bushes.

 

Julia Donaldson’s Famous Characters
Saturday 26th – Sunday 27th October, 10am – 6pm 
Manchester Arndale 
Welcomed by Z Arts this is showcasing the worlds favourite characters from kids books from Gruffalos to Dragons.

The Strolling Bones Parade
Saturday 26th – Sunday 27th October, 1pm, 2pm & 3pm
Exchange Square to St Ann’s Square
A pretty boney parade with skeleton puppets, stilt walkers, unicycle performers, 5-piece band and plenty of dancers.

 

Creepy Carnival
Saturday 26th – Sunday 27th October, 10am -6pm
New Cathedral Street
A family-friendly freak show with ghoulish delights from street performers and even a traditional Helter Skelter.

 

CBBC & CBeebies Spooky Screenings
Saturday 26th – Sunday 27th October, 10am -6pm
Exchange Square
A whole host of family fun to get you in the Halloween spirit taking place inside a spooky tent. There’s workshops, a creepy photo booth and plenty of TV show characters knocking about too.
