On Saturday 15th November, the travelling independent craft and interiors event will showcase an eclectic mix of artists, spanning from the West Midlands to the North West.

From 11am- 4pm, visitors will be able to purchase the striking items available from each exhibitor and can look forward to browsing an array of design areas including textiles, glass, ceramics, metalwork, paper and wood.

An exclusive series of creative workshops have also been confirmed for the event. A complimentary Christmas tree workshop by local book artist Kate Bufton will transform old books into festive ornaments just in time for Christmas, while Ministry of Craft will be giving a master class on how to tailor-make bespoke fabric lampshades.

For those looking to simply sit back and soak up the work on display, street food vendors Rudy’s Pizza will be serving handmade stone-baked pizzas whilst Fat Annie’s will be on hand with their artisan hotdogs. Speciality coffee purveyors Ancoats coffee will also be pitching up as will crème de la crème bakers Tea With Tom, serving gooey brownies and homemade cakes.

Rachael Adams, founder of Home is in the North, said; “We are incredibly excited for the second instalment of Home is in the North which will offer our visitors an alternative shopping experience that can’t be found on the high street. We are passionate about showcasing the hand-picked array of talent from the Northern design scene and are confident that the event will educate and inspire interiors enthusiasts and novices alike.”

Returning to Halle St. Peters, situated in the heart of industrial Ancoats, Home is in the North is the perfect opportunity for visitors to invest in unusual collectable pieces for their home or to pick up some truly unique gifts just in time for Christmas.

Tickets are available via Eventbrite (Student prices available).
