Afro Eden presents: Black Pride Vogue Ball @ Gorilla
Saturday 17th August
Afro Eden is a series of artistic happenings to celebrate QPOC (queer people of colour). The night sees the Vogue Ball, an electrifying and award-winning event celebrating club culture and high fashion. Expect echoes of the flamboyance and glamour of 1980’s New York ballroom culture with a special sprinkling of Manchester charm.

Collaboration Launch Party: Queer Brewing Project & Queer The Room @ Beatnikz
Thursday 22nd August
Beatnikz Republic will be teaming up with The Queer Brewing Project and event collective Queer the Room for a collaboration beer launch party ahead of Manchester Pride Weekend on Thursday 22nd August. They’ve made a Peach Iced Tea Pale Ale that’s been brewed in collaboration with The Queer Brewing Project (which sounds FIT) and the money raised from the eveining will go towards funding important programs run by the LGBT Foundation which help vulnerable LGBTQA+ people throughout the UK.

The Superbia Weekend 2019
Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th August
Beginning with a huge launch party at The Refuge on Friday, the Superbia Weekend continues over Saturday and Sunday with a long list of events, showings, exhibitions and performances all for LGBT+ causes. The gang return the The Refuge on Saturday night for a big screen première of ‘Deep in Vogue’ followed by another packed day of events on Sunday. Click below for the full list.

High Hoops Pride Weekender @ The White Hotel
Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th August
High Hoops’ first ever Pride Weekender and they’re promiseing a weekend full of outrageous events curated by special guests Peach, Eris Drew, Wes Baggaley,Sofie K, Joy Social, Kiss Me Again and Supernature Disco. The White Hotel is always a jam – so this should be unmissable.

Horse Meat Disco Pride Party @ The Refuge
Friday 23rd August
The Refuge is throwing a jock-off big party over Pride weekend as part of their ‘Come As You Are’ Weekend series that will include street parties, DJs, LGTBQ+ film showings, Q&A’s, food, drink, music and LOTS of basement parties. Hitting up the Friday night is Horse Meat Disco’s Pride Party which promises to be the usual massive disco extravaganza.

Free Britney: Pop Curious? Pride Party @ Mint Lounge
Friday 23rd August
Pop Curious will be launching Manchester’s biggest ever Britney & friends party with the aim of FREEING Britney “from her current woes and releasing her back into the wild!” I’m not entirely sure where she’s been locked up but it doesn’t matter when you’ve got such a huge range of hits to play – as well as tunes from her mates such as Lady Gaga, Madonna and Cher.

Alt Queer: Galivantes, Marilyn Misandry, Husk & more @ Band on the Wall
Friday 23rd August
This FREE party looks set to take Band on the Wall by storm as Alt Queer teams up with Brooklyn brewery and LGBT charity Stonewall for a huge LGBT+ celebration with live performances, DJ sets and plenty of booze. There’ll be the 8 piece brass band Galivantes, disco diva record spinner Marilyn Misandry, drag and burlesque performer Ivy Profemme, the self-proclaimed ‘illegitimate bin baby of Amy Winehouse and Bill Bailey’, Mollusca and millennial love-child of 80’s synth and sexy alt pop, Husk.

Friday 23rd August
A day of remarkable stories that made Pride possible, recounting the people who stood up to be counted in the ongoing struggle for fairness and truth that is the human rights movement. This event will aim to shine a light and provide insights into the remarkable history: a celebration of a still hidden queer past.

Homoelectric Bank Holiday Showdown @ Hidden
Saturday 24th August
A non-stop exotic disco for homos, heteros, lesbos and don’t knows, queering up Hidden warehouse. The night will also welcome Honey Dijon, Hifi Sean, Dan Beaumont, Jamie Bull, Will Tramp and Gina Breeze.

DILF Manchester: Pride Special @ Joshua Brooks
Saturday 24th August
2 floors, 5 DJ’s and 5 and a half hours of quality dance music as DILF heads to Joshua Brooks this Pride Weekend. Expect a crowd of Leathermen, Rubbermen, Bears, Cubs, Jocks, Musclemen, Daddies, Pups + more. Downstairs DILF DJs Eddy Murf + Darren Goodwin will be making you sweat with their usual brand of big tunes, vocal house + dirty beats in the cavernous basement club. Love Party – Queer Pride Party 2019 @ Star & Garter
Saturday 24th August
Who wants to snog Ms Marilyn at her Consensual Kissing Booth? Thought you might. Star & Garter is hosting a big queer riot where you can do just that plus SO much more. A huge pay-what-you-can charity fundraiser party providing the best LGBT disco, pop and dance music, live performances, an indoor Pride parade and loads more still to be announced. Bollox Queer Pride 2019 @ The Deaf Institute
Sunday 25th August
An unmissable and typically outrageous party for the Bank Holiday weekend with a riotous 7 hours of music and performance spread over the 3 floors of Deaf. Bringing in the roaring climax of Pride are Bollox Residents; Rainbow Noir; Fatty Acid; Sonic Yootha and plenty, plenty more. Expect lots of debauchery and fun times.

Cirque Du So Gay @ Tribeca
Friday 30th August
Roll up, roll up, Cirque Du So Gay is in town bringing dangerous and exciting acts from fire breathers to singers and unmissable performances from some of Manchester’s top acts. It’s the UK’s FIRST ever LGBTQ+ ran circus with ring leader Xander Helsby and plenty of other show-stopping drag queens including Orphelia Nathan Clarke, Roxy Gore and more!
