NEW OPENING: Historic Ancoats pub, Edinburgh Castle is reopening

Being brought back to life by the team behind Cottonopolis, the Victorian pub is set to open Thursday 14th November.

Promising to be everyone’s favourite local, a proper boozer with a proper pint, Edinburgh Castle will become the beating heart of the neighbourhood and the place everyone can’t live without.

The ground floor pub is serving up traditional pub grub between 12pm and 8pm, including Pies, Game and Fish & Chips. There will be Brunch on the weekends and of course Sunday Roasts available 12pm – 8pm Sunday.

Chef Julian Pizer has put a huge emphasis on seasonality and local suppliers bringing good British food dictated by the British seasons.

The brand new dish, Bees Waxed Aged Beef is set to be an absolute signature to the menu. Guests can also expect Guinness on tap, Irish Coffee and a seriously strong whisky offering.

Artist and tattooist, Gre Hale and friend of the pub has designed many of the elements such as menus and wallpaper and the brand new re-worked signage outside.

The brand new outside saw artist and designer Lei-Mai scaling heights to hand paint in 24ct gold to celebrate the homecoming of the local gem.

Edinburgh Castle Ancoats officially opens Thursday 14th Novemember from 8pm.
