The Bull & Bear is an approachable yet luxurious space based on the original and grand domed, trading floor of the Stock Exchange.

The restaurant is the first for Tom Kerridge in Manchester and the team set out to create a welcoming and social space aiming to blur the lines between elegance and informality.

In addition to the larger restaurant Tom and his team are overseeing the private dining experience for up to 16 people in The Bank. There is also the larger private experience for events up to 120 people in The Vault.

On the menu, diners can expect influence from Tom’s pub in Marlow, The Coach.

Divided somewhat unusually into stages of a meal rather than courses, the menu incorporates ‘Hot’, ‘Cold’, ‘Hot Slightly Bigger’ and finally ‘Sweet’. The recommended portions include four to five plates per person allowing diners to experience a wider selection of the menu.

Known for creating British comfort food, Tom’s new venture will celebrate his infamous style in a luxurious yet relaxed setting.

The menu includes classics and firm house hold favourites like fish and chips and also the famous piled high Coach Burger.

The Bull & Bear is an 86 cover restaurant, with room for 12 guests at the kitchen counter where diners can watch chefs and a 30 cover bar.

The Grade II listed building has striking Edwardian architecture with a grand and bright domed ceiling. Contrasted with elegant green curved banquettes and comfy leather armchairs.

Guests can also expect illustrated hand-drawn sketches on the menus and beer mats of all the people who make The Bull & Bear unique, including suppliers, chefs, servers and punters.
