As many of you may already know, this weekend sees the return of the King Street Festival with a weekend full of shopping, food, art and live music. As part of the festivities everyone’s favourite acclaimed tapas restaurant El Gato Negro will be providing a weekend of special treats.

Embracing the outdoors, Chef Patron and founder of El Gato Negro Simon Shaw will be taking to the street and cooking in the open air; serving two festival dishes: a Chorizo, red pepper aioli and caramelised red onion Sandwich (£6.00) and Chargrilled vegetables with giant couscous & a salsa verde dressing (£5.00).

Both dishes are available to be enjoyed in El Gato Negro’s outside dining space, which this weekend will extend across King Street, or to take away whilst continuing with your shopping. The specials will be served alongside the usual bar menu with classic tapas.

For those looking to quench their thirst opposed to satisfying their appetite, El Gato Negro will be serving an exclusive festival cocktail – the King Street Cooler (£8.50).  Featuring Midori, Elderflower, Apple, Mint, Cava & Soda, it’s a vibrant, light and refreshing beverage to enjoy whilst sitting back and enjoying the festival atmosphere.

El Gato Negro festival opening hours are 12pm onwards.
