In celebration of their first anniversary, you are invited to discover the curious world of The Blue Pig Bar with an evening of decadence and debauchery, and the chance to win a trip to Paris on Thursday 3rd October.
The Northern Quarter drinking den is hosting a party to unveil its decadent new surroundings and to launch it’s sexy new cocktail menu. Reception cocktails will be crafted by Hendricks along with canapé treats from around 6.30pm, accompanied by a weird and wonderful array of entertainment.
Live music on the night will be provided by the eclectic Gypsies of Bohemia, who have just returned from the festival circuit having toured the UK with Glastonbury and Latitude sets, alongside well known artists such as Plan B, Imelda May, Guy Garvey and Jesca Hoop.

They will be followed by a DJ set from much loved Manchester DJ’s from the night Gimme Shelter, playing a fine mix of Rock n Roll, Funk, Punk, Ska, and Reggae taking revellers dancing in to the late hours.
There will also be the chance to win an array of prizes at the bar in the lead up to the event, including a trip to Paris for followers of The Blue Pig Bar’s social media pages.
The bar’s giant blue pig will be going on an adventure around Manchester from Sat 28th October and can be found at five different locations with daily clues provided on Facebook and Twitter so that people can track down his whereabouts.
There will also be the chance to win an array of prizes at the bar in the lead up to the event, including a trip to Paris for followers of The Blue Pig Bar’s social media pages.
The winners will be announced on the pig’s return at the birthday celebrations.

- Take a picture of yourself next to The Pig between Saturday 28th – Wednesday 2nd October and upload it to The Blue Pig’s social media – Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram by Thursday.
- Set your picture to public and tag the photo with #BLUEPIGBAR to be entered in to the prize draw.
- Each day clues will be provided on social media so that you can track down The Pig’s whereabouts.
- Every tagged picture featuring The Blue Pig uploaded during the week qualifies as an entry to the prize draw to win one of 50 prizes, including a trip to Paris.
- The draw will take place on the evening of Thursday 3rd October at around 8pm.
- There is no cash alternative. The Blue Pig’s decision is final.
