Red Eye Hifi present Chaka Chaka every Thursday night.
Starting out as pioneers of Manchester’s underground free party scene, Jack Red Eye and the Red Eye Hifi crew have been putting on some mad nights in the city since before they could even legally get into clubs.
It all began as a bit of a DIY initiative, with Jack (at the tender age of 16) heading down to underground parties in South Manchester with a set of speakers, playing tunes and selling beers to pay for bigger and better speakers.
It began to blossom and quickly became a legitimate club night in some of Manchester’s more obscure venues. Starting off in the likes of Saki Bar in Rusholme, Red Eye Hifi quickly moved up the ladder to play Antwerp Mansion, Dry Bar and eventually Warehouse Project.
They were famed for their hugely impressive sound system, which they would carry around with them to every gig in order to achieve their signature sound and bass. A set of gear that the team upgraded and improved piece-by-piece, the sound system would go everywhere with them – making each gig a truly underground and guerrilla event.
Nowadays Red Eye Hifi have left the sound system behind, appearing at some of the world’s biggest events and festivals. They’ve played Fabric, Boomtown and even Glastonbury and now they’ve now signed on for a weekly residence at The Liars Club with their new Thursday night Chaka Chaka.
Offering up a night of ‘Dancehall, Bashment, Soca‘ and more, each Thursday will see the gang take full advantage of The Liars Club’s legendary sound system itself, banging out tunes until 4am.
To help you get lubricated throughout the evening, not only will you have some of the best rum cocktails in the city to drink, they’ll also be offering £3 Red Stripe all night and £5 Double Spirit and Mixer.
