I know we are all in a state mourning for the wonderful summer we have just had, but I’ve got to say, I personally am pretty excited about autumn.

Come on, who doesn’t like fluffy socks, blankets and eating comfort food in front of crackling fire? The most important bit being the food, naturally…

You might not agree, but Brasserie Abode certainly does, and in an attempt to embrace the cooler months, they have peppered their menu with a few autumnal dishes which are packed full of seasonal ingredients.

Starters include Buffalo Burrata with pickled seasonal wild mushrooms, wild mushroom beignet and basil cress and a Tuna Carpaccio with white radish, spiced avocado and shallots.

Nothing says October more than gourds, and their Pumpkin Tortelloni with goats curd will have you feeling cosy the minute it touches your lips. Other main courses included Braised Haunch of Venison with red cabbage and creamed mash and a comforting Chicken Kiev with garlic butter and French Beans.

Vegetarians can enjoy a Veggie Club sandwich filled with grilled halloumi, avocado, egg mayonnaise, tomato and lettuce all piled in-between toasted sourdough also.

Let’s not forget about dessert! Thus autumn you will find a Warm Spiced Plum Crumble with clotted cream on the Brasserie Abode menu as well as a Cointreau and Cranberry Trifle which is a wintry twist on the classic summer pub.

Wrap up warm and yourselves down to Brasserie Abode this autumn, I promise you won’t regret it.
