GRUB have recently announced that their Summer beer festival – The Beer Up Here 2019 is set to return this week from Friday 5th July until Sunday 7th July.

The festival is a celebration of all things wet and all things northern with over 100 breweries and 200 beers on offer from all over the north of the UK.

From Buxton to Orkney, Northern Ireland to Northumberland, Yorkshire to Cumbria (and plenty of Manchester beer) The Beer Up Here will be pouring fantastic beers, mostly in pints, down at the Fairfield Social Club this weekend.

Almost all of the beers at the festival will be ‘session beers’, classic beers designed to be supped all day that you can enjoy a pint of.

The breweries picked range from local modern craft beer heroes like Runaway Brewery or Track Brew co. alongside classic traditional family brewers such as Joseph Holts.

Of course the grub has not been forgotten, on hand to provide amazing northern beer food are the GF Pie Company serving up pie and peas and The Little Fishy frying up fish and chips all day.

On top of all the beer and grub you’ll also be able to visit the Steep Soda shandy bar who will be serving up thirst quenching shandies made by combining their hand made sodas with great beer from local breweries.

Jason Bailey, Director of GRUB said: “It’s super important for us that our beer is produced locally, there’s really no reason to go too far to find outstanding beer so we’re so happy to see The Beer Up Here back”.
