Taking place on Sunday 8th July, Albert’s have created the Tour de Manchester, a scenic and exclusive cycling route designed for all ages and abilities. Starting and finishing in central Manchester, the route will take you on a 22km journey through the city.
A delightful weekend activity for the whole family to enjoy, the Tour de Manchester provides an illustrious cycling route in the great outdoors, perfect for those leisurely weekend rides.

To celebrate the route, the Bier Palace at Schloss will stage it’s very own Le Grand Depart at 9am – seeing cycling enthusiasts, adventure seekers, comrades and families alike taking to the streets on two wheels. Remaining true to classic cycling culture, sausage sandwiches & espressos will be handed out before riders depart, plus a free bike servicing pop-up in the Study area.
Upon your return, reward yourself with a refreshing Radler on das haus (shakes and kronuts for kids). Albert’s Schloss will also be transformed into a cycling hub with an exclusive cycling Q+A session and outdoor railings for parking bikes, allowing riders to enjoy a leisurely post-ride afternoon feasting on a delicious Schloss Sunday roast and being treated to some brilliant entertainment.
On top of this, Schloss will also be serving up the refreshing Paulaner’s Radlers beer throughout the summer season in three fresh flavours; lemon, lime and pink grapefruit. Made famous by German cyclists, fruit juice was added to bier to create a lower ABV, allowing them to still drink while bashing around on their bikes.
Taking inspiration from cycling clubs touring The Alps, they’ve also launched a Clubhaus leaderboard where each week the member who rides the most miles will be rewarded with a brunch for four, while all other members featured on the leaderboard will receive a Schloss radler of their choice & wurst on the haus – wunderbar!
Managed by Strava, members download the Strava app and join the ‘Albert’s Radlers’ to rec-ord their mileage. Winners will be announced every Monday at midday on the Albert’s Schloss social channels with the Club Haus leaderboard updated.
Albert’s Schloss will also launch an exclusive competition for the best photo along the Tour de Manchester route, with a trip to Prague for two people including flights, B&B and brewery tour up for grabs. To enter, riders are asked to tag their route photo on Instagram with #TourdeManchester and #grandtourmcr from the 8th – 29th July.
The Grand Tour continues at Albert’s Schloss, bringing the grandeur of a European summer, embracing the great outdoors – complete with daily entertainment, cook Haus and Alpine-inspired cocktail menus and sommer biers.
