What started as a small night in Liverpool, with no real idea of what would happen and a number machine which didn’t really work properly, Jonny Bongo and Joshua Burke didn’t realise then what they had created – and where it would evolve to – right to the present day.

The shows have been the catalyst for a cultural shift in the spectrum of night life across the country, one which has seen people across a wildly diverse demographic flocking to Bongo’s Bingo not just for a night of incredible fun, sing-a-longs and false calls, but something much more – for escapism, for nostalgia, for dancing on tables, for an experiential adventure, and also yes, for the chance to win a pink unicorn amongst many other prizes at The Albert Hall.

Bongo’s Bingo reveal their October shows taking place at the stunning Albert Hall:

  • Tuesday 26th September
  • Tuesday 3rd October
  • Friday 13th October
  • Tuesday 24th October
  • Tuesday 31st October – Halloween Special with Fatman Scoop!

Bongo’s Bingo now takes place in many main cities across the UK, with sold out shows at Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds, to London, Birmingham and Newcastle, to Preston, Blackpool and Sheffield. This summer, they have launched sold out residencies in Dubai, Ibiza, and two tours across Australia whose shows sold out in record time. Plans are already happening for new locations across Europe, including Amsterdam and Paris, as the fervent mania continues to reach out across the world, as well as further cities in the UK.

It’s hard to capture the unique mix of everything that happens at Bongo’s Bingo – it’s partly a show, partly a rave, partly a dance-off and very much an amazing night of bingo as its frantically beating heart. It’s true that Bongo’s Bingo has to be seen to be believed – the show mixes the traditional elements of bingo with dance-offs, rave intervals, plenty of heckling, audience participation, countless hands-in-the-air anthems and of course the chance to win prizes too, from Henry Hoovers, boxes of Coco Pops and life-size cardboard cut outs, to actual cold hard reams of cash.
