It frustrates me no end, mostly because it’s highly likely that most of the good quiz puns will have already been taken and there’s nothing worse than 2 teams with the same name. Nothing.
I believe I did rather well with my attempt at the Game of Thrones quiz at Black Dog Ballroom NWS a couple of months ago – and even though I didn’t come anywhere near winning – my team name was the best.
We were called ‘Bran Stark’s Football Boots’, bringing together two of the best TV shows ever, Game of Thrones obviously, and The Office. I’m still proud of it today, although nobody appreciated it on the day. Ah well.
Continuing their run of themed quizzes, Black Dog NWS have the rest of the year planned out, and not surprisingly, they’ve tied the subjects in with shit that’s coming on telly or to the cinema. Here’s what they’ve got coming up – get Google Calendar up…

The winning team at each quiz receive a £50 bar tab, as well as there being plenty of themed mid-quiz raffles to win some top prizes. It’s probably also important to mention that Tuesday at Black Dog is Two-For-Tuesday’s meaning that all Pizzas are 2-4-1. Perfect.
