Joshua Vs. Takam Live at Black Dog Ballroom NWS

Ever since Uncle Albert started boxing in the Navy, boxing has been an integral part of the sports calendar, especially when there is the opportunity for a free trip to Las Vegas and a few million on your mini statement.

After all the hubbub revolving around McGregor and Mayweather, we’re back to the proper boxing now, with Anthony Joshua stepping into the ring with Carlos Takam on Saturday 28th October.

It’s a last minute change for Joshua, who was originally due to fight Kubrat Pulev, who withdrew at 12 days’ notice due to the fact that he’s washing his hair. This surely means that a big change in tactics was needed – indicating there may be a bit more of an entertaining bout between the two.

I don’t really know though. I know very little about boxing except for listening to the Rocky IV soundtrack  and playing Punch Out on my SNES when I was 11. Most people are excited though, and if you’re looking to watch it somewhere – Black Dog Ballroom NWS are happy to oblige.

With various food and drinks packages available, you might as well head down there and make a full night of it with some chicken wings and more beers than you can probably handle. Or go for some Navy Rum, just like Uncle Albert and spend all night in your vest, shadow boxing and saying “Hss” a lot.
