Sankeys notches up another momentous milestone. The legendary Manchester club, marking its 18th anniversary this summer, continues on its quest to be the best clubbing environment in the world. Witness the 2010 DJ Mag World’s Best Club accolade, followed in 2011 by the club’s first foray to Ibiza, to entering 2012 with its sights set on opening a new Sankeys venue in NYC as part of the Seven Sankeys of The World project.
Whilst Manchester remains the beating heart’s epicentre of everything the club does, its global ambitions continue to grow. None of this growth would have been possible without the foundations built in Manchester over the years, which is celebrated this summer as Sankeys reaches 18 years of dance music evolution. One of the world’s best clubbing spaces will host a series of shows, further elevating Sankeys’ stature as a truly iconic bastion of dance music’s culture.

Friday’s shows come at a relentless pace, featuring global talent including Roger Sanchez, Tiga, John Dahlback, Hardwax’s DJ Pete and many more, plus a label party from Size Matters and two shows from Continue, representing the broad scope of Sankeys’ inspiring music palate. This is the chance to catch artists right at the top of their respective games, huge stars touching down into the intimacy of The Basement’s hallowed bass-pulsing walls.
Saturdays throughout the summer see Sankeys continuing its dynamic journey in searching for the best underground sounds. It’s a mandate the club has been right at the fore of, superlatively spearheaded by the likes of in-house sessions Kaluki and Continue, guest parties from Heidi’s Jackathon and an assortment of stellar label showcases and events. As part of the iconic club’s 18th anniversary, Saturdays at Sankeys will witness a run of bookings encapsulating the founding vision; to bring world-class acts to Manchester, young stars, rising forces and electronic ambassadors coming together to join the dots across the vibrant house and techno spectrums. The broad template of stars including everyone from Heidi to Chez Daimer and Solomun to Reboot and DJ Sneak to Adriatique, with parties from The Jackathon, Visionquest, Diynamic, Hypercolour and much more. The 18th anniversary is an augmentation of everything that has catalysed the club’s evolution to the present, a wild celebratory summer of all things Sankeys.
