The weekend is over, which means back to work. Five whole days of torture; literally counting down the minutes till you get wasted again and spend two whole days with your head in the toilet. Ahh, that’s the dream.
But seriously, the working week doesn’t have to be a marathon. It could be more like a rainy mountain hike in the middle of nowhere if you break it up with some food and fun. Sold. So, for the best tasty mid-week treats in Manchester, read on!
Rosylee on Stevenson Square is one of my personal favourites. Aside from its enchanting botanical garden-esque décor and super friendly staff, it’s one of Northern Quarter’s classiest, and most reasonably priced restaurants. Whether you’re partial to a spot of afternoon tea, or would rather indulge in all-day brunch, it has it all – including plenty of amazing food offers.
Every Monday, Rosy’s offers 50% off food from its A La Carte menu, all day long, when you book a table in advance. All you need to do is bring a pal, and buy a drink to make the deal valid. Pizzas for £4.50 and £9 Sirloin steaks? Yep, don’t mind if I do!

Tariff & Dale
What I like about Tariff & Dale is the fact they have somehow managed to combine hipster-chic with fine dining. I mean let’s face it, what restaurant serves sausage rolls AND Italian tapas on the same menu? It’s a weird ass combo, but my God I like it! Then again, a menu as diverse as that makes choosing one dish nearly impossible. So, our advice to you is – don’t.
Go to T+D on a Monday night at 5pm and indulge in all the food you want, but for half the price. Never again will you have to choose between a lamb keema sausage roll, salami Milano and a 12oz rib eye steak. For once you can be a greedy pig and not feel a shred of guilt for it. Because at the end of the day, it’ll cost you next to nothing. But don’t blame us for your ballooning waistline…

If you’re a lover Sushi (who isn’t?), you’ll know that every mouthful of fishy goodness is better than the last. Whilst a Tesco platter and a packet of Walkers might suffice for a busy lunchtime, I’m sure you’ll agree that it never truly fills that sushi-shaped void in our hearts and bellies.
Sakana on Peter Street on the other hand, absolutely does. Every single Monday, Manchester’s self-declared sushi Shangri-La, offers 50% off all its expertly rolled sushi rolls and sashimi. Whether you’re a sushi-virgin looking to pop your fishy cherry, or you’re a bonified professional fish-eater, enjoy all the sushi you could want and more, without sinking your banking balance. I don’t mind if I do!

Black Dog Ballroom
Black Dog Ballroom on Church Street, is well known for many reasons. First of all, it is one of the few places in the city centre with pool tables, which is a pretty big deal because we all know how much people love to play with balls and a big stick from time-to-time. Secondly, it’s the proud creator of one of the best Tuesday food deals in Manchester.
Why, might you ask? What on earth could make it so special? Well- it’s simple. Their food deal involves the holy grail of comfort food- the ultimate pallet teaser for the worst day of the week – our Lord and saviour – pizza.
In both their Northern Quarter and Wakefield Street branches, BDBR offer a buy one, get one free deal on all their standard pizzas every single Tuesday. To put things into perspective- you could be enjoying a perfectly cheesed- crispy-based Margherita pizza for just £4.50, or a Nice & Spicy Peri-Peri delight for just £6. Goodbye miserable Tuesdays, hello #TWOSDAYS.

One of my favourite food deals in Manchester by far, is El Capo’s revolutionary £1 Tuesday Tacos. Whether you’re looking for a light snack with a couple of drinks or want to take inspiration from me and sink 10+ in one sitting, this deal can be as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be. That’s the beauty of it. So, head to Northern Quarter this Tuesday from 4pm onwards and choose from a selection of mouth-watering flavours. You will not regret it- take it from me!

Favelas Bar Cantina is Northern Quarter is a South-American inspired bar/restaurant with a rare vibrancy not often seen in Manchester. If you hate anything spicier than a chicken Korma, Favelas isn’t for you. If, however, you’re a sucker for anything with a kick, it most certainly is.
Every Wednesday between 12-9pm, Favelas offers 50% off absolutely everything- meaning you can enjoy a feast of burritos, BBQ ribs and tasty one-pot stews for absolutely nothing! If you’re not brave enough to venture away from pie and gravy, there’s no need to worry. Favelas also has a pretty impressive selection of beverages for all of you alcoholics to abuse. Best.Wednesday.Ever.

It’s hump day and you’re starting to flag. All you can think about is how soft your bed is going to feel when you collapse into it as soon as you get home. If you’re anything like me, the last think you want to do after a tiring day at work, is socialise.
That being said, there’s nothing like an authentic Spanish lunch to give you a much-needed spurt of energy. If you’re a fan of tapas with a kick, head to Evuna’s on Deansgate for your lunch break and enjoy 3 portions of tapas for only £10.99. And, if you’re feeling particularly naughty, spend an extra £3.50 for a glass of house red or white for a special treat. How could you possibly say no?

Right, let’s skip the intro and get straight to the point. Manchester Smokehouse & Cellar, located on Lloyd Street, does some of THE BEST burgers in the city. From slow cooked brisket to strips of succulent, tender steak, you can literally taste the quality in every single bite.
Every burger is cooked on an Argentinian grill above a wood and charcoal fire, meaning every strip of meat is infused it that classic BBQ taste. Salivating yet? Sticking with the theme of burgers (what else do people want on a Thursday?), we have another tasty treat for you all. Just to clarify, there’s nothing odd about Odd bar. In fact, it’s quite the opposite, because they offer 50% off their already cheap-as-chips burgers every Thursday, Just because they’re nice like that. Burger and a drink for less than a tenner? Erm, hell yeah!
