How you been naughty or have you been nice? Who cares… we’re adults now, and it doesn’t matter. We do brunch instead. Ho bloody Ho
There is only one thing better than brunch, and that is ALL DAY brunch. This year, Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday, and a Sunday without brunch is like Christmas without a tree. Additionally, it makes a nice last hurrah with your friends before you have to head home and pretend you enjoy being locked away in a tinsel-clad prison with your family for three days.
And isn’t the brunch at Cottonopolis an absolute delight. All their food takes inspiration from Japan with a modern fusion twist, and the brunch is no exception. Snack on beef and quails egg nigiri or salmon and cream cheese maki rolls. Whoever said you can’t have sushi for breakfast?
Sweet tooth’s out there can chow down on waffles topped with banana and caramel or blueberry and mango or the more adventurous crispy duck or pork belly and poached eggs. Specials are equally innovative with the likes of the pork, kimchee and sweet potato hash topped with a crispy duck egg as well as time-honoured classics like smashed avocado on toast and smoked salmon scrambled eggs.
Wash it all down with winter bellinis, bottomless prosecco and of course, Bloody Marys. Afterall, the festive season is all about booze, isn’t it?
