Praise Be For Sunday Service at El Capo

Once upon a time, everyone used to wake up at the crack of dawn on a Sunday, put on their best clobber and shuffle into a damp old church to listen to an old man drone on about God…

Sounds hideous right? I mean no offence if that is your jam, but nowadays most of us are too hungover from a night of drinking and debauchery to think about anything celestial or even peel ourselves out of bed before 2pm.

Unless of course, you bring food into the mix. If anything is going to get me down on my knees to pray it will be something hugely calorific and hopefully smothered in cheese. Lucky for us heathens, at El Capo they are heavy on the delicious grub and light on the plainsong and Hallelujahs.

The only Sunday Service I am thinking about is the one you will find at El Capo. You can enjoy an epic amount of food for just £14. I mean, just look at it…

This bad boy consists of:

  • 1 Burrito or Quesadilla (choose from pork, beef, chicken, fish, chipotle sweet potato, kale, mushroom & manchego)
  • A portion of Nachos
  • A portion of chicken wings with your choice of sauce
  • Two Tapas from the small plates menu
  • Two Sides

Obviously, this is to share between two people. There is no way one person could tackle this delicious monstrosity if they tried unless of course, they had a black hole for a stomach.

You have to meet in the middle and agree on the choices- but mine would always be a Pork Carnitas Burrito, with Chilli Nachos, Smoked Chipotle wings, Padron Peppers, Jalapeño Poppers and Sweet Potato Wedges and salad on the side.

If that doesn’t cure your hangover, then I really do not know what will and for £14 each it is ridiculously hard to say no.

Let us Pray for the Sunday Service at El Capo.
