It’s National Burger Day this Thursday and from my inbox it seems most places in town are either aiming to out-do each other on height or on calories to create the must-have burger when it comes to this auspicious day.
Aiming for one of the height records is El Capo, who have created the Big Ass Chilli Burger. Teetering ever so precariously at what looks like about 8 inches high is this monster of a burger from this fantastic Mexican cantina.
Containing a dazzling array of spice and deliciousness, the Big Ass Chilli Burger contains a load of beef, tons of cheese, chilli, jalapeños, onion rings, spicy Mexican Slaw, pickles and loco sauce – all neatly stacked and sandwiched between two buns.
From the pictures it looks like it could feed a family of 4. Or a bloody big bloke. On top of this, El Capo will be offering 2-for-1 on all burgers until Friday this week – so there is absolutely no reason why you wouldn’t head on down and try to get your chops around this bad boy.
