First, let’s talk about the whisky, which will be presented by Colin Dunn, a leading expert in the whisky industry and current holder of the role of European Whisky Ambassador for Diageo Reserve brands.

Colin has done more than most to get people switched on to whisky and is one of the most exciting, passionate, and respected guys out there when it comes to the brown spirit. He’ll be in Manchester at The Edinburgh Castle curating this one-night special tasting session with rare and exciting selections of whisky that will sit alongside an exquisite 5-course Scottish inspired menu.

Chef Julian Pizer has designed a menu that works perfectly alongside the whiskeys, but also shows the wonderful food and produce found north of the border.

The meal will start off with Sourdough with a malted spent whisky mash butter, before moving on to Scottish Oysters (with a Kilpatrick sorbet) and the classic Haggis with neeps and tatties.

For mains there’s Roasted Scottish Cod with cock-a-leeke soup and the whole thing finishes with a Baked Chocolate Tart with whisky and pine caramel.
