Thankfully, Manchester isn’t short of Mexican restaurants, so you won’t have to look far to find that crunchy, cheesy goodness. But at the end of the day, if they’re just nach-o-thing, don’t bother reading on…

El Capo
If Carlsberg did nachos, they’d be sourced from El Capo- because what other place offers a choice of SIX different toppings?! The corn tortilla chips comes stacked with melted cheese, refried beans, sour cream, guacamole and salsa, but what main topping you choose is entirely up to you. Deciding between Pork Carnitas, Chicken, Pulled Beef, Xocolate Chilli, El Chingon Chilli and Chipotle will be difficult, but I’m sure you wouldn’t mind going back six times to try every flavour…

Pancho’s Burritos
When it comes to Mexican restaurants, Pancho’s is about as authentic as it comes. Having started in the streets of Mexico by chef Enrique Martinez, you know you’re guaranteed something special when you walk through the doors. Naturally, nachos are an important addition to the menu, with several dishes available to tempt hungry customers. From veggie options to enormous sharing plates, Pancho’s has it all- so don’t hesitate from popping in on your lunch or taking bae for a romantic meal on a budget.

Luck Lust Liquor and Burn
When it comes to Nachos, Luck Lust Liquor and Burn are not messing around… With three seriously seductive dishes on the menu, you’re going to struggle to come to a decision- I’m getting stressed even just looking at the menu to be honest!
Volcano – consisting of melted cheese, beef chilli packed with chorizo, taco sauce, guac mayo, chipotle sour cream, pico and of course, jalapeños.
Bacon Double Cheeseburger Nachos – Melty burger cheese sauce, ground beef burger, grilled onion, pickles, jalapeño mustard, bacon rain and taco sauce.
Cheese Bean Goodness Supreme – Refried beans, melted cheese, sundried tomatoes, Jalapeño, guac, pico, taco sauce and chipotle sour cream.
Combine any of these nachos with their 5-8pm ‘Killer Happy Hour, and you’re on for a winner!

Crazy Pedro’s
They don’t just do pizza at Crazy Pedro’s – although that is what they are most famous for. They are famous for them not only because they are delicious but also because their toppings are usually bat-shit crazy, and their monthly specials are certainly something I look forward to when I’m flipping my calendar every month. They also do nacho’s however and boy are they tasty. They come topped with cheese, salsa, jalapeños, guacamole and sour cream and are available in large and ‘Ridiculous’ sizes. The ridiculous size comes served in a big metal bin lid by the way. That’s not all though – oh no! They’ve recently introduced something new – Pizza Nachos – a whole pizza of your choosing is chopped up and thrown on your ridiculous nachos creating the perfect blend of cheese, sauce and toppings which is unrivalled anywhere else.

Home Sweet Home
Nachos + Pulled Pork – hell yeah! Home Sweet Home really is the place for naughty, indulgent food – but they’ve truly gone above and beyond with their Piggy Style Nachos. Topped with melted cheese, pulled pork, jalapeños, chorizo, bacon, bacon mayo, house BBQ sauce, pico de gallo and bacon rain, nachos have never been tastier or so rich in flavour. But don’t worries Veggies, you don’t have to miss out on all of the fun – Home Sweet Home have also created their ‘Tijuana Nachos’, packed to the brim with refried beans, cheese, corn, guacamole, taco sauce, chipotle sour cream, pico de gallo, red chillies and shredded iceberg lettuce. With both dishes costing £9, it would be rude NOT to order them.

Chango’s
Build-your-own nachos. What’s not to like? Chango’s on Oxford Street prides itself on sourcing fresh, healthy ingredients, meaning each and every dish on their menu is bursting with natural goodness and flavour. Whilst their speciality is burritos, you wouldn’t believe how good the nachos are too! ‘Nachos. THE WORKS!’ is a box filed with corn tortilla chips, served with a selection of meaty or vegetarian fillings to please every customer. The fillings include chicken, pork, slow cooked and chilli beef, as well as a vegetarian option that changes on a daily basis. After that, choose from a range of toppings which includes rice, beans, sour cream, cheese, jalapeños, salsa and guacamole, to make your perfect nacho dream! Want to take a pal? The nachos are big enough to share, so make sure you bring the squad.

Revolucion de Cuba
I love Revs de Cuba because it’s cheap, cheerful and serves great food. What more can you possibly want? Whilst their menu is vast with variety, I must say, their Nachos Del Sol are particularly good, and they’re only £5.75 for the plate! Consisting of crunchy tortilla chips, Roquito pepper and Manchego cheese sauce, black beans, guacamole and mango salsa, it’s a simple dish that does what it says on the tin. Don’t mind if I do!

Dive NQ
The best thing about the nachos on the new menu down at Dive in the NQ is that you can add a range of lovely toppings to them – however many you like – creating a mound of chips that are not only delicious but there’s also never a dry spot in sight. Their traditional nachos come smothered in melted cheese, salsa, sour cream, guacamole and chilli but if you want to take it to the next level an additional £3 will let you add Beef Chilli, Buffalo Chicken, Pulled Pork or Veggie Chilli to the mix. For me it’s always going to be Beef Chilli, but if you’re looking for the ultimate Nacho experience – why not have all four!?
