Throughout Manchester’s Food and Drink Festival Don Giovanni have teamed up with Campari to offer a bespoke cicchetti and cocktail menu to regular diners and out of town foodies.

Between 12pm and 5pm every day throughout MFDF, you can enjoy 2 aperitivo cocktails and a paired cicchetti dish at Don Giovanni for just £10. You can choose from aperitivo such as Cynar Fizz, Aperol Spritz or a Negroni Sbagliato whilst you nibble on specially created Italian small plates designed to perfectly complement your afternoon tipple.

Wine & Cheese Tasting with Sommelier Marco Castanelli

Kick off the 20th Anniversary of Manchester’s Food and Drink Festival by heading down to Don Giovanni for an evening of Italian wine tasting paired with regional cheeses on Thursday 28th September.

Hosted by expert sommelier Marco Castelanelli; expect a drinks reception on arrival at 6.30pm followed by an educational talk that pairs together the restaurant’s favourite wines with some delicious Italian cheese.

After spending the last 7 years working with a prestigious Italian wine merchant, host Marco has built up close relationships with some of Italy’s best wine producers and restaurant owners.

If you have tasted an Italian wine recently then there is a good chance that Marco has spent time on the winery chatting to the producers, studying the grapes and discussing what to expect from the next vintage.

Work your way through a selection of Don Giovanni’s favourite vintages, starting with a delightfully soft textured house prosecco before moving through honeyed and fruity whites, an exuberant rose with aromas of violets and cinnamon, before finishing with a couple of firm bodied, spicy reds.

With 6 different bottles being tasted in total, not to forget the accompanying cheese, it is well worth the £25 ticket price!
