Taking place on Wednesday 7th November at 7pm, the evening will give you the opportunity to taste a range of 5 matched wines, expertly paired with a five-course tasting menu.

Guests will be presented each course (and wine) by an expert from Hallgarten Wines who will discuss this particular type of wine, the grapes that are used to make it and the regions it comes from.

You will get the chance to sample 5 different Malbec’s, not just from Argentina but from around the world – examining just exactly what it is that has made it so popular in recent years.

The Malbec grape originally came from the Cahors region in France, but the 50’s saw a severe bout of frost devastate the crops. From here the grape found a foothold in the Andes and the wine quickly became of one Argentina’s most favourite exports.
