Manchester food-entrepreneur Monica Sawhney (23) who founded the critically acclaimed “Spice Club” supper-club is hosting two exclusive pop-up dining events at Spinningfields, Manchester on 22nd & 29th October.
The Spice Club Pop-Up restaurant will feature Monica’s unique gourmet-take on classic home-cooked Indian food, delivering exceptionally crafted dishes using the incredible gamut of tastes presented in Indian cuisine (Monica has explored this subject on her blog ‘Monica’s Spice Diary’ where she has interviewed some of the top Indian chefs in the world including Michelin Starred Atul Kochhar).

Guests at the Spice Club Pop-Up will enjoy the egalitarian social dining experience which has made her supper clubs so popular where investment bankers, teachers, students, tourists, artists, philosophers, doctors and more sit around the same table enjoying decadent home cooked Indian food-prepared by her, and her family. “Our supper club gives guests the opportunity to experience Indian food as it should be, a really diverse range of freshly prepared dishes,” says Monica.

Monica is passionate about food, and this comes through in her reviews with guests citing, “More than great-spectacular. Must be the best Indian food ever” and “Fabulous food, not available anywhere in the North West. Wonderful hosts…”

10% of all profits from Monica’s supper-clubs and pop-up restaurant events are donated to her nominated Charity, Narayan Seva ( based in India ), which has helped more than 55,500 polio affected people, of all ages, with life-saving operations and artificial limbs.

“Our supper-clubs have received an astonishing response….”says Monica, “My family and I are always so happy with the wonderful feedback our guests leave, and for months we’ve had people asking us to open a restaurant concept.” She continues, “…through pop-up restaurants, we will be able to deliver consistently innovative spaces, varying menus and unique experiences which are right for the time, place and the palette of our guests. We’re really excited! ”

Mark Burgess, Director of Spinningfields Management Company, said, “We’re really looking forward to the Spice Club Pop-Up arriving in Spinningfields, the food is fantastic and the concept is very unique. It will be a great addition to the already diverse restaurant offering within the development.”
