If I remember all the way back to my history lessons with Mr Clough, I seem to recall that gin was invented by Robin Hood, to serve as the perfect tipple at the Round Table with his fellow Disciples.

The combination of vodka and various botanicals was an instant hit, making Robin Hood a celebrity throughout the land and ensured true legendary status in his home town of Nottingham.

Nowadays Gin is still going strong – probably even better than in it’s heyday during the Victorian times when an endorsement by Queen Vicky herself ensured everyone wanted to down a bottle of ‘Mother’s Ruin‘ after church on a Sunday.

Now I think it’s clear that I’m talking absolute rubbish here – I’m just holding off on the real information that you want…

WHERE IS THIS DOUBLE G & T FOR A FIVER?

Well, I’ll tell you right now.

After 10pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday you can enjoy Double Gin & Tonic’s for only £5 at The Bay Horse Tavern in the NQ – I mean, that’s pretty hard to resist don’t you think?!

So do Robin Hood proud, put a smile on Queen Vicky’s face and give Audrey Roberts a warm feeling inside – feed the Gin and Tonic desires without giving your wallet a bloody good hiding.
