Prolific chefs come together for game themed banquet

On October 4th, Iberica’s Executive Chef Nacho Manzano is set to welcome Mark Poynton, Head Chef at Michelin starred Alimentum in Cambridge, to Iberica, Spinningfields, as part of the Manchester Food and Drink Festival.

Mark Poynton will join Nacho Manzano for a special game themed evening, with the pair working together to produce a collaborative 6 course menu, with paired wines, all for £75 per person.

The chefs will prepare a casual tapas menu showcasing and comparing game traditions from Spain and England, giving guests the chance to explore the culinary delights of game that are only available from August through to January.

This highly-anticipated event is set to be a sell-out, with the calibre of two chefs set to excite foodies across the North West.

Alimentum won its Michelin star under the guidance of Mark Poynton in 2012 and has retained it over the last three years.  A contestant on Series Nine of Great British Menu who spent seven years with Daniel Clifford at Midsummer House in Cambridge, Mark will be returning to cook in Manchester for the first time since his 18 months at Juniper in Altrincham, where he worked with Paul Kitching.

Now in its 19th year, Manchester Food and Drink Festival will run from 29th September to 10th October, the urban food and drink festival will take over much of the City Centre and surrounding areas.
