Anyone who has ever decided to put on a hoodie and go and collect blackberries from next doors’ back yard at 11pm on a cold September evening will know that there is an abundance of food all around us.

That Bear Grylls will tell you the same, but as he eats a cow pat, smeared in ants’ blood for his dinner, you can head on down to Menagerie for their brilliant Wild Food Supper Club and experience a six-course taster menu designed to highlight the diversity of locally foraged produce.

Hosted by Fruits of the Forage, the Wild Food Supper Club will kick off on Monday 17th July, with each course designed to make the wild ingredients the headliners of each dish.

For example, you can try a British Fava Bean Falafel featuring nettle and dock seed flatbread. There’s also British Raspberry Sorbet, Elderflower Drizzle Cake, Damsons, Crayfish, Beetroot and a load of other delicious beauties you might find lying around at the end of the garden.

For only £45 per person you can experience this fantastic 6 course taster, but on top of this Menagerie will donate £5 per guest from the ticket to support Action Against Hunger – a charity which aims to end all hunger and malnutrition around the world.

If you’re interested in the Wild Food Supper Club you can head on over to Menagerie to book, check out their website or give them a ring.
