After a packed week last week, the top acts continue into the final stretch. If you’ve not been down to Festival Square yet – what’s bloody up with you?!

The Orielles plus Working Men’s Club
Monday 15th July @ 8pm
Indie rock band The Orielles, who hail from Halifax and probably went to Eureka! all the time as kids, will be hitting up the stage on Monday night. It’s their last show of 2019 apparently and so you’d be a silly sausage to miss them – especially if you’re a fan. They’ll be joined by Yorkshire trio Working Men’s Club.

The Blinders, Witch Fever & The Pagans SOH
Tuesday 16th July @ 8pm
Another line-up of indie and alternative bands on Tuesday as Doncaster lads The Blinders are joined by all-girl punk and grunge band Witch Fever, and the rather interesting ‘The Pagans Shepherds of Humanity’ who fuse elements of hip-hop/punk/funk/jazz/metal and reggae to create a Pagan sound that is truly their own.

NoSpace
Wednesday 17th July @ 5.30pm
This 6-part crew of hip-hop, grime, neo soul and dancehall artists have supported a range of Manchester acts over the last year or so including The Mouse Outfit, Children Of Zeus & Mic Righteous, as well as headlining their own shows at Band on the Wall and Joshua Brooks. Expect something special as they present a full length set of brand new bangers.

Jez Kerr (A Certain Ratio)
Wednesday 17th July @ 10pm
Jez from legendary Manchester outfit A Certain Ratio will be DJing on the stage from 10pm until the early hours this Wednesday. I expect there’ll be plenty of old Factory and Hacienda tunes on the go, as well as a few from Jez’s own personal collection. It’ll be mega.

Children of Zeus with DRS, [KSR], Mali Hayes, KinKai, Abnormal Sleepz & EVABEE
Thursday 18th July @ 8pm
The first of a stellar line-up of up and coming hip-hop and grime acts from Manchester, Children of Zeus are bringing their mates to the stage from 8pm on Thursday – and said mates include DRS, [KSR], Mali Hayes and more. Local talent EVABEE will also be performing, and we did a one take video with her last week to promote the night. Check it out above.

Swing Ting featuring Fox, Lady Ice, HMD & Resident DJs
Thursday 18th July @ 10pm
Continuing this epic night of urban acts, Swing Ting from 10pm will feature Fox, Lady Ice and friend of Finest HMD, as well as a selection of Swing Ting resident DJ’s. It’s going to be a top night so make sure you get yourselves down early doors so you don’t miss out.

Sound City MCR as part of Distractions
Friday 19th July – Noon til 10pm
As part of ‘Distractions’, Sound City MCR will be taking over the stage at Festival Square ALL DAY from 12pm. Distractions is a 3-day summit that looks to debate the future of entertainment, featuring talks, panels, content and new music showcases with some of the world’s leading tech companies, artists and producers. This day of music features Lottery Winners, Francis Lung, See Thru Hands, Slow Knife, Mike Garry, the amazing Yemi Balotiwa, EvaBee and more.

Skittles present ‘Poor on Purpose’ Live with 8 Gold Rings & The Untold Orchestra
Saturday 20th July @ 8pm
All round top bloke Skittles will be presenting his new album in full this Saturday – alongside 8 Gold Rings and The Untold Orchestra. Poor on Purpose was released back in April and our Dillon reviewed it right here. Get down from 8pm and give Skittles a big shout out.

Lost in Music with Natasha Kitty Katt
Saturday 20th July @ 10pm
Saturday sees the legendary Lost in Music lot hit the stage for the final late night of 2019’s festival. It’s the official closing party and should be an absolute belter as DJ Natasha Kitty Katt hits up the stage along the usual Lost in Music crew.
