Following the huge success of its inaugural event at Jodrell Bank last summer, multi-award winning bluedot festival has today announced that weekend tickets are now on sale, complete with a prize draw, in celebration of Christmas.
This year’s event – which welcomed 10,000 revelers – saw incredible performances from across the board including psych-electronica pioneers Caribou, legendary Jean-Michel Jarre – who headlined the music bill with a UK festival exclusive, British electronic group Underworld, and the iconic Brian Eno, who projected a bespoke piece of artwork – specifically designed for Jodrell Bank – across the magnificent Lovell Telescope leaving an unforgettable imprint of bluedot’s spectacle on the captivated audience.
After triumphing with New Festival on the Block and Mind Blowing Spectacle at this years Association of Independent Festivals, bluedot has also been shortlisted for Best New Festival in the European Awards and is set to be bigger and better in 2017 with festival organisers committed to an even more ambitious programme.

Taking place 7-9 July at Jodrell Bank, the Cheshire observatory at the cutting edge of humanity’s quest for knowledge, bluedot is a three-day festival of discovery that fuses a complex mix of artists, speakers, scientists and performers into an event unlike any on earth.
Attendees can again expect a galaxy of talent from across the scientific, literary and arts communities with five distinct arenas featuring space orchestras, talks, screenings, lectures, comedy and debates, a vast spectrum of hands-on activities and much more. For those wishing to enjoy the three-day festival, a diverse mix of culinary options will be on offer along with standard and newly improved luxury camping options.
Full weekend camping tickets are now on sale and start from £149 outright cost or a £23.43 payment plan. Those who purchase a ticket before December 25 will be entered into a prize draw to win boutique camping at the three-day event.
Boutique camping offers a vast and varied selection of luxury accommodation options for those who prefer an extra touch of comfort. Tipis, Bell Tents and Yurts start from £795 with the more exclusive and premium offerings including Safari Tents, Airstreams and Junior Penthouse Suites starting from £3,695.
