Dedicated to music making, The Music Show is the first of its kind and features a packed programme of live performances, workshops and demo sessions of the latest music equipment when it takes place at Manchester Central on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th November.

Manchester’s XFM is supporting the show, with breakfast radio presenter Tim Cocker and his sidekick Producer Jim DJ’ing and giving aspiring musicians tips on how to get their music played on the radio. Drive-time presenter and Inspiral Carpets legend Clint Boon will also be appearing at the event and answering questions on all things Manchester and music related.
Across the two days there will be a chance to win a day in the recording studio and spot prize giveaways and special offers from some of the top music brands on the market.
There’s also a great opportunity for music lovers to jam on the main stage with drummer Steve White and bassist Damon Minchella, both famous for playing alongside the likes of Paul Weller, Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene and Richard Ashcroft to name a few, in an exclusive ‘Play with the Pros’ session.

Other performances include jazz trombonist Jiggs Whigham, conductor of the BBC Big Band and first trombonist with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, and the Royal Marines Band Service who will be opening the event on the Friday.
Chris Martin, Event Manager for the show says: “The show is going to a huge celebration of the talent our city has to offer, from those at school level to established artists. Manchester is known for its thriving music scene and is home to some of the greatest musicians which is why we wanted to bring the event here.”
