A million pound mission to get Britain’s best ideas, coolest inventions, brightest young businesses and the most creative music and arts projects crowdfunded before the end of 2014 is to launch at the TechHub in Manchester on 23rd June with a masterclass and workshop for the City’s young entrepreneurs.

The aim is for Manchester to get at least 100 new campaigns off the ground before the end of the year and for each to raise at least £1000 to turn that idea into a reality.

Free workshop and masterclass hosted by world’s largest crowdfunding platform Indiegogo for individuals, groups and companies with big ambitions to show them how to crowdfund a campaign successfully.

Gathering of young people, local entrepreneurs, kitchen table business owners, local artists, fashion designers, musicians, inventors and charity campaigners to hear how they can use the power of the people to support their ideas.

Discussion of how Manchester business can grow in spite of stifling effects of lack of available finance through traditional institutions.

Aim to find and finance over 1000 new initiatives by end of 2014 and inject at least one million pounds to get them off the ground.

The initiative is beginning with a national tour (10 locations, three weeks) with workshops and masterclasses in effective fund-raising and how to use the power of the public to raise funds, substantiate ideas and prove that great ideas can work. From fashion designers, gadget developers, health charity projects and musical talent, crowdfunding can bring ideas to life.
