Located slap-bang in the middle of the NQ on Lever Street, Foundation Coffee House has been doing some cracking business since opening a couple of years back. In fact, with the Finest offices directly across from the cafe, it’s a rare sight indeed when I don’t see each window seat filled up with someone bashing away at their MacBook while downing a flat white.

The new Foundation Coffee will be located within the new Locke hotel on Whitworth Street, the location of them old Atrium Serviced Apartments and that Indian Buffet Restaurant that closed a while back. The launch of this second concept will kick off a full-on expansion programme with future plans to open up to ten venues across Greater Manchester over the next five years.

Speaking of the news, Foundation Coffee House director, Dominic Beardwell, said: “I am delighted that we are now able to share the news of our second Foundation site.

“NoChintz is a creative, tenacious design studio from which we not only product great client work, but also invest in our own projects – quite a unique move for a business like ours. It shows clients how confident we are in our work as we are literally putting our money where our mouths are and utilising the expertise and creativity of our great team to bring amazing interiors, branding and graphics into the hospitality sector.”
