Andy Ellison heads to Manchester favourite Matt and Phreds this weekend, along with 5 members of his band, to entertain an audience with classic swing and modern new wave jazz. As one of the newest and most promising talents, Andy has enjoyed a hectic year performing at a variety of functions, gigs, festivals and ceremonies both in the North West and further afield.
As such a diverse and promising talent on the music scene, this weekend looks set to be a real treat for guests at the live music venue which over the years has played host to the likes of Sneaky, Kit Downes, Manu Delago and Jamie Cullum. Even the likes of legendary Adele have graced this fine stage, tucked away in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
Speaking after confirming the gig, Andy said ‘We are really excited to be performing at Matt and Phreds in December. It is such a well established venue, and the roll of performers that has graced the stage speaks for itself, I am honoured to be one of them’.
After what can only be described as a monumental year for Andy and the band, this exciting and prestigious diary date follows a summer of back to back diary fixtures, performing to some of the most elite of audiences and in some of the most highly regarded venues. With clients that have included 20th Century Fox, the Trinity Mirror Group, The British Business Awards, Lancashire Cricket Club and Drayton Manor, 2012 has certainly seen Andy arrive on the radar of people nationwide, and venue after venue, reviews have been exceptional.

Anyone thinking that Christmas is the time to take a break, obviously hasn’t met Andy! Coming to Manchester fresh from 9 gigs already performed in December, Andy has already played everywhere from Wigan to Lincoln and Berkshire to Birmingham!

Bringing a new and young approach to the world of jazz and swing, Andy has also made appearances at several summer festivals and outdoor functions, and 2013 looks set to be his biggest yet.
