Last year, Banks released her second album ‘The Altar’. Now she’s released a brand new track, ‘Underdog’, which premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show. It’s another shimmering slice of alt-pop from the singer, with a soaring chorus. As she told Zane Lowe on Beats 1 radio, the song came from a studio session in which she was feeling ferocious, as if there was “a beast inside of [her].”

The singer famously once posted her real phone number on her Facebook page so fans could call her. She released her debut album ‘Goddess’ in 2013, which featured co-writes with artists such as Jamie Woon and Lil Silva. BANKS has supported the likes of The Weeknd in the past, while she has been compared to artists like Aaliyah.

The Californian R&B singer will also be taking ‘The Altar’ (and these couple of new tunes) around the UK for a quick tour of the country. What it lacks in dates though, it makes up for in size, taking in some massive venues in Birmingham, Manchester and London.
