Not that I know though – I was still a twinkle in the milkman’s eye in the 70’s, but judging from the films and the music – it looks like it was proper good.

In no other era was it the done thing to wear a silver spandex bell-bottomed jumpsuit. In no other era did we have movies like Jaws, Rocky Horror and Saturday Night Fever on at the movies. In no other era was fish in aspic jelly an appropriate dinner party showstopper. And let’s not even start on the music scene.
Where did it all go wrong?
There’s probably no better way to celebrate the New Year then than listening to some of the best disco tunes ever with Boogie Nights at The Whiskey Jar.
You should expect confetti cannons, disco balls and that song by Sister Sledge at some point or other, as Stu Chapman aka Disco Stu gets on the decks with a few of his mates.
Throw on your platforms and dance like it’s 1979.
