Calendar Girls is a Musical with music and lyrics by Gary Barlow and a book by Tim Firth. The award winning spectacular is based on the 2003 film Calendar Girls, which is in turn based on a true story.

After receiving fantastic 5 star reviews in the West End, audiences are saying “I’ve laughed at musicals, I’ve cried at musicals, but I’ve never cried and laughed at the same time.”

Take an inspirational story and add one super-talented writer, one world-famous pop star and mix their expertise thoroughly. Add an accomplished production team and a clutch of the finest actors and singers, and finish off with a stunning set and lights.

Served up alongside ecstatic applause up and down the country, the musical tells the true story of Yorkshire’s own Calendar Girls a group of ordinary ladies who achieved something extraordinary.

It is about friendship and community and I think we all relate to that. Celia, my character, has been off as an air hostess and has always been looking for something more.

“When she comes back she realises that it was already there. As we get older we all realise that.” – Loose Women’s Denise Welch (Celia in Calendar Girls.)
