Get back to basics and feel the love at this magical, summer happening. It’s the spell-binding summer soiree that will make you fall in love with festivals all over again…

In an era of boutique get-togethers and secret garden parties, Wood Vibrations is the real deal – a perfectly petite, intimate event, that has it all; ace music, gorgeous vibes and a stunning Lake District location.  Embracing a back to basics – and nature – feel, the weekend happening is the brainchild of Rochdale-based producers and promoters, Ross Everett and Martin Robinson.

Disillusioned with the increasingly corporate nature of Britain’s look-a-like festivals, the pair dreamed of creating an event that would allow friends to enjoy quality time and music in a stunning, peaceful setting. And after spending years looking for the right site – they struck gold. They found Fell Foot Wood, a dreamy, picturesque spot overlooking Lake Windermere, in Ulverston, Cumbria, last summer.

The result was a small but perfectly formed get-together for ‘like-minded brothers and sisters’, harking back to the days when festivals were more about mud and love than Moet and endless logos. Channelling the spirit of 1970s free parties, they invited 200 guests to dance under the stars, as they watched bands perform on a stage framed by views of the lake itself.

This year’s event plans to builds on that success to deliver an even more vibrant affair – one where friends, family, assorted children and musicians can share chilled-out, magical times in the great outdoors.

The line-up is as impressive and eclectic as you’d expect. In addition to DJs Liam ‘DrQ’ Quinn (BeatBoutique) and Paul Gallagher (Beady Eye and Pretty Green DJ), there is a stunning roster of 20 (predominantly) north-west bands – playing everything from indie garage to psychedelic rock and winsome folk.
There’s also a bar, some food and lots of sparkling company.

And with tickets costing just £50 for the entire weekend – £30 for under-16s – and £25 for the day, you’ll be hard pushed to find a better value, more soul-enriching experience than this.

Full line up:
THE MOONS, THE CUBICAL, WALTON HESSE, PAPER SPACEMAN, EMMA TRICCA, 3D TANX, BILTONE, THE MATADOR, LEONARD ROSSITER, STONEWALL JACKSON, SUNNYJIM & THE SIZE 9s, THE SUNDOWNERS, SWINGIN BRICKS, POCKET HERCULES, DAN WILSON, THE GYPSY CREAMS, THE FELLONS, THE HOOHAAS, ALEX CAVAGHAN
