FIRST LOOK: The city’s newest office rooftop garden…

Origin offer up a stunning rooftop garden; a green oasis slap bang in the middle of a lot of grey.

There are a lot of things to look for when you’re thinking about moving into a new office. There’s the space available. There’s how nice it looks and rather importantly nowadays there’s access to some super-fast broadband so you can fire out 1000 emails a minute.

But increasingly there’s many more factors in this decision. Just like most things in life – people want more. And so, when looking for an office there should be a gym, meeting rooms, co-working spaces and lovely kitchens that you can make a belting lunch instead of spending a fiver in Boots every day.

Origin, a new office space development on Spring Gardens, has all of this – but there’s something else. Something on their roof that sets them apart from so many other offices in the city – a stunning roof garden.

Head on up to the top floor and you’re greeted by a green space, adorned with a host of wooden chairs, seats and even a meeting table – perfect for an al fresco get together that’ll likely end in an argument or someone storming off because you don’t like their ideas.

Of course, not every meeting is like they are here at the Finest office – and being outside and surrounded by greenery MUST be good for your productivity and happiness. It certainly beats being stuck inside facing a blank wall anyway.

Sure, the weather might be a wee-tad unpredictable in Manchester but when it’s crisp and sunny – I can’t think of anywhere else I’d rather be doing work. Apart from my own bed of course.

Origin offers up 6 floors of office space, with each one fully decked out with a stunning kitchen and informal meeting space, as well as a gym and wellbeing space in the basement.
