We love Hatch for everything it has to offer, and it’s just got bigger!
Turns out, Hatch and its selection of repurposed shipping containers has doubled in size, which has given local businesses the opportunity to set up shop, in some cases, for the first time ever.
Hatch has handpicked some fantastic new traders, and they are so chuffed with them, they are staying open on Thursday evenings for a spot of late night shopping, which, granted is just what we need this festive season.

This little florist is one of my favourites that has ever been to Hatch, and they are just what you need to get you into the Christmas spirit. You can even order your Christmas tree from Venus from £40!
Stutter & Twitch
Calling all vinyl heads! Shutter & Twitch is a vinyl store and record label that has set up shop at Hatch. Not only is there a shop full of music for us to get our teeth stuck into, they also use their skills and arsenal of tunes to play some music in the Hatch courtyard from time to time. Catch them this Saturday all day long.
Betty & Butch
Whoever said that doggo’s don’t like presents? In our house, the dogs get more gifts than the humans, and this year I am heading straight to Betty & Butch to get them. Betty & Butch, the UK’s most loved natural dog store, brings their famous Christmas Dog Store to Hatch this Christmas. Expect sparkle, amazing doggy gifts for hounds & humans. Looks like my brood of setters are going to be spoilt rotten this year…
The alternative sneaker & streetwear store, Grafficks has arrived at Hatch. Bringing a collection of clothing and sneaker brands such as Karhu, Carrots, Diadora, Felt USA, Good News, Hummel, K-Swiss, Minimum, Rare Panther, Russell Athletic, Saucony and many more, Grafficks is your one-stop-shop for all your sneaker needs!

Brand new this winter is the pop-up from Electrik. Known and loved for their fantastic bar in Chorlton, they have decided to guest at Hatch for a couple of years to bring some of that suburban goodness right to the heart of Oxford Road. Expect games, beer and one of the best Juke Boxes in the city. Come and have a drink, you won’t regret it.
Öl Is a bar and nano-brewery serving up one of the finest selections of beer in the city. Öl has been in it for the long run with Hatch, and we absolutely love them for it. Öl is a collaboration with Byrne the Cake Brewery where they make a very small batch of beer on site (hence the ‘nano’ part). Enjoy their own brews alongside a selection of beers from some of the world’s best breweries.
I’ve got to say, I let out a little squeak of excitement when I discovered this trader one chilly day last month. Cayuco serves an array of Panamanian and South American street-food – something I am pretty sure we have never seen before here in Manchester. Expect beautiful dishes of Peruvian Ceviche, Chipotle Brisket, Fried Plantain Tostones and a plethora of delicious Tacos stuffed with everything you could possibly dream of.
This trader is a spin-off from the late night Japanese Junk menu at Cottonopolis in the NQ. The vibe is Japanese inspired junk food – think goyza, bao buns, dirty fries, fried chicken burgers. I decided earlier this year that their wagyu beef burger was the best in Manchester, and to be honest, I still stand by that statement, so get yourselves down there and try and prove me wrong. Expect some delicious drinks too like perfect serve gins, beer, wine and even fizz.
The Mac Shac
Well known in the festival-food circuit, The Mac Shac has certainly made a name for themselves in the last year or two. These guys from Yorkshire are mavericks in all things Mac – serving up delicious portions of baked Mac & Cheese with some seriously pimped up toppings. Their blend of four cheeses (Cheddar, Mozzarella, Blue Cheese and Italian Hard Cheese) is outrageously good in its own right as well – this stuff is comfort food at its very best.
In a nutshell, this is Sicilian street-food at its best. T’Arricrii does Arancio (deep-fried risotto balls) with various fillings such as beef ragu, nduja sausage, or spinach and asparagus just to name a few. They also have fresh juices made from Sicilian fruits and sweet treats In the form of conolos which are deep-fried tubes of pastry which are filled with your choice of pistachio or chocolate cream- which are utterly to die for.
