Symbolising the resilient spirit of the city’s people, the City Council and Wild in Art have created a public art trail of over 80 individually designed giant Bee sculptures and, naturally, we had to get involved.
The Bee trail is created for and by Manchester. Regional artists have designed the sculptures and local communities have sponsored them – including Harvey Nichols. They have decided to sponsor ‘Bee a Rainbow’ created by Rachel A Blackwell, who describes her Bee as “a symbol of hope perched upon a sky of dreams.”
Blackwell also says: “In her bright rainbow hues she celebrates the diverse worker bees of Manchester. She is a cheerful explorer, always looking for her next adventure. Her energetic colours and whimsical character will inspire happiness and hope in all who meet her.”

Not only that, but Harvey Nichols will be launching two pop-up bars for Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th July, one serving up Old Curiosity Gin concoctions, and the other pairing their Own Label Prosecco with Yee Kwan ice cream.
