OverDrawn Pop-Up Art Event at The Refuge

Don't panic! This isn't an article about standing in The Refuge, wanting to buy a cocktail but then realising you're too overdrawn to afford it and having to embarrassingly slip out while the bartender's back is turned. No, it's about a special Easter Saturday art event which looks like it's going to be a corker.

OverDrawn are a creative team who are committed to giving people the chance to pick up a pen, pencil, quill or even some glitter and macaroni and just have a go at being imaginative and making some art. They insist that ability doesn’t matter, the only thing that matters is the desire to get stuck in.

This Easter Saturday afternoon and evening will see Overdrawn take over The Refuge with a variety of events including Live Art with Qubek, tables wrapped in paper, a selection of local artists creating pieces for your entertainment, pound portraits, calligraphy and some special treats including Manchester street art legend Mural Life creating a one-off piece.

They will also have their trademark ‘Illustration Showdowns’ hosted by Pete Obsolete where the winner can win a meal for 2 at the Refuge to the value of £50.
