Whatever you’re going to study here, good luck. However you’re education isn’t our problem. Our problem is however to provide you with a load of things to do this freshers week and beyond into the rest of your time in Manchester.
There are a lot wristband entry events on over freshers fortnight. We’ve rounded up the best of them to try to help you decide what to do.
Manchester Metropolitan – Manchester Wristband
For Manchester Met Students the Met Union are offering the Manchester Wristband. The wristband will gain you free guaranteed entry to ALL of the 11 night time events over the 2 weeks of freshers, including the BODYROX Skool Disco, the UV Paint Explosion Glow Party and the not-to-be-missed Twisted Circus Freshers Ball with Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and Video DJ BEAT A MAXX! Wristband holders can also gain free entry to the Quiz and Comedy nights. Also included when buying a wristband is the ‘I Love Wednesdays’ t-shirt, as well as special wristband only offers such as 40% off food at the Met, and free transport from halls of residence.

Manchester Students Union – Welcome Week Party
On Saturday 22nd of September, the manchester University Students’ Union is putting on its biggest Welcome Week party ever. With 4 Venues, 2,000 Students and some of the biggest names around playing until 4am, they’re giving you a welcome that’s second to none.
The Vaccines will be taking to the decks in Club Academy whilst Herve will be playing his rave orientated productions in Academy 2. You can also join Club De Fromage in the Union Bar for ‘silly costumes, exotic drinks and music you can dance around your handbag to’ plus many more.
