This episode sees Alex talk to Josh about his current projects, both as a solo artist and as a member of Levelz – a Mancunian collective of MCs, producers and creatives with everyone in the group having their own specific skills and connections.

Hailing from South Manchester, Black Josh is one of the most electrifying hip-hop artists to emerge from the UK. We talk to him about growing up in the city, his upcoming projects as well as a very special project with Manchester’s Finest named Manchester Sampled.

Not only this but Big Grillie Style have introduced the Black Josh burger as a permanent fixture to the menu at Joshua Brooks. Taking inspiration from Josh’s tastes and Caribbean heritage, the burger features “Chicken 4 ways” with…

BBQ Fried Chicken Burger, with smoked streaky bacon, red onion, lettuce, BBQ pulled chicken, charred corn salsa, Baconnaise, on a brioche bun topped with a Caribbean Jerk Chicken Wing and Popcorn Chicken.

50p from every Black Josh Burger sold on the new menu will go to Youth Music Charity, a national charity investing in music-making projects for children and young people who experience challenging circumstances. Their projects help young people develop musically, but also aim to have personal and social outcomes too.
