Located in the Green outside the Mall, the market will be supporting local businesses, makers and creators serving up a range of locally produced and sustainable goods.
You can expect a farmer’s market area with the likes of Pextenement Organic Cheese and Nectar Bar locally grown flowers.
The artisan food section will showcase brands such as Nila’s Homemade Curry Pastes and Kits, while over in the maker’s section you will find local enterprises such as Jive Prints and more offering up a range of arts and crafts.
“We love seeing how our market slots into the growing mix of vibrant, independent businesses that make up the Stretford Mall community. Last year we helped kickstart a number of local micro-businesses and we cannot wait to see that again this year. We’re really proud to promote local farmers as part of our market and hope this will allow our customers to buy the lovely fresh ingredients to make for some really special, local and ethical meals for 2021.” – Annika Edge, Stretford Market
With a focus on sustainability and lots of opportunities and inspiration for reducing, reusing and recycling, Stretford Market encourages and offers support to brand new traders looking to try out new business or product ideas.
“We’re delighted to be able to welcome back Stretford Markets. It’s another way for everyone to support local, independent businesses, and bring a fantastic new shopping experience to the neighbourhood at the same time. It will be wonderful to see the community out and enjoying the area safely again – we can’t wait!” – Gareth Wilkinson, Stretford Mall
Of course, there will also be plenty of independent street food on-site too, complete with a pop-up Covid-compliant bar.
Stretford Market will be back from Saturday 24th April and take place on the last Saturday of every month, from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
