The Big Busk kicks off in Manchester on Friday 20th September and will be taking over Tony Wilson Place (where HOME cinema is) from 3pm until late.

Around 250 people sell the Big Issue North each week, giving them the opportunity to earn an income.

The charity raises funds to provide a range of support for sellers including support accessing services, helping individuals to get ID, home furnishing packages and projects including breakfast clubs.

The magazines are sold for £2.50 and gives sellers 50% profit on each magazine sold.

The festival will be creating states in city centre locations across the North West with a mix of local artists and bigger names playing short and sweet slots through the afternoon and early evening.

The event are also still looking for volunteers in the four locations (Manchester, Preston, Liverpool or Sheffield), and you can apply here.

The festival is FREE, you just have to show up and pay what you feel. You can donate by text phone or online.
